Yucaipa California, Places to visit and Special History.
Yucaipa California is a town with an interesting history, nestled at the base of the San Bernardino Southern California mountains. Below is some information about great local sites to visit, and more.
Every time it snows in the San Bernardino Mountains near Yucaipa, Ca., we jump in the car and make a small day trip to Oak Glen. Included here are some pictures of the places we visit on these fun occasions. It’s like driving into a winter picture, without any of the drawbacks of living in the snow.
From the most top part of Yucaipa, you can make a loop through the mountains, by taking Wildwood Canyon Road or Oak Glen Road. Fall is a wonderful time to visit the gift shops and restaurants. Snow-Line Orchards is one of the apple / raspberry orchards to visit.
Visit Snow-Line Orchard in Oak Glen, California for Apple Cider, Raspberry Picking, and Fresh Apple Cider Mini Donuts. A friend told me about this family fun and family owned nearby apple and raspberry orchard.
Snow-Line Orchard is open daily 9am – 5pm, only during apple season, from September through November. The week before Thanksgiving is a great time to come. Sample the apple pies and apple cider donuts.
Next year I look forward to attending the Annual Apple Butter Festival featuring the cider donut toss and cider tasting contests. Checkout the Oak Glen Apples Growers website for more information. www.oakglen.net Enjoy!
